FootballFrustrated Thomas Tuchel Reaps Referee Anthony Taylor Apart After Chelsea Split Points With Spurs
- Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel did not hold back his anger following a 'dodgy' performance by referee Anthony Taylor
- Referee Taylor waived off many potential fouls, which did not sit down well with the German tactician as his side shared the spoils with Tottenham
- A last-minute strike by Harry Kane dashed the hopes of Chelsea from securing back-to-back victories in the ongoing 202-23 campaign
Thomas Tuchel aimed a dig at referee Anthony Taylor following Chelsea's intriguing stalemate with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, August 14.
Tuchel's Chelsea suffered a soccer punch at the death of their London derby with Tottenham as Harry Kane's last-gasp goal in a feisty encounter ensured the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
The blast of the whistle for the end of the fixture saw Tuchel and Conte locked in a heated fight which saw both managers seeing red - meaning the duo will miss their side's next Premier League encounter.
Speaking at the post-match presser, the 48-year-old German tactician did not mince words to register his displeasure with the level of officiating by Anthony Taylor.

"We have some rules and I'm very surprised when a 50/50 challenge with Harry Kane and suddenly it's worth whistling because none of the players expected a free-kick and suddenly it's a free kick," Tuchel said as quoted by Football London.
The former Paris Saint-Germain coach questioned the number of times the referee waived off incidents which should have been whistled as fouls in favour of Chelsea.
"When Reece James did a tactical foul it was a yellow card, how many tactical fouls did Hojbjerg do today? What about the foul on Kai Havertz?"
Learning he will not be in the dugout for Chelsea's next league game against Leeds United, Tuchel remarked: "I cannot coach but the referee can whistle the next game?"
