  • Four first-team players are set to be moved by Tottenham Hotspur after Antonio Conte made the decision to exclude them from his side
  • Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Winks have been declared obsolete by the abrasive manager who has already bought Yves Bissouma
  • Others include defender Sergio Reguillon and Giovani Lo Celso, who are now training separately from the rest of the squad

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has banned four of his players from his first-team training sessions. Conte is looking to fine-tune his squad before the closure of the transfer period.

The players include Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks, Sergio Reguillon and Giovani Lo Celso, who will now train away from the squad as the club looks to sell them.

Daily Mail reports that the decision by Conte was communicated to the quartet, who are now supposed to look for new clubs before September 1st.

Ndombele has failed to impress during his time in London and was loaned out to his former club Lyon last season. Winks and Reguillon have operated under the shadows of other first-team regulars, but the acquisition of Yves Bissouma and Ivan Perisic sealed their fate.

Perhaps the shocker will be the exclusion of Lo Celso, who had some brilliant moments away on loan at Villareal. But Conte's preference for Dejan Kulusevski to partner the obvious Harry Kane and Heung-min Son means that his days at Spurs are over. New signing Richarlison is also waiting on the fringes to lay down his mark.

Jose Mourinho blocks Nicolo Zaniolo's move to AS Roma

Sports Brief has also reported that AS Roma's boss Jose Mourinho reportedly blocked his former side Tottenham Hotspur from signing Nicolo Zaniolo.

Zaniolo and Spurs had apparently already agreed on personal terms only for Mourinho to move in and direct Roma not to sell.

Roma and Spurs had initially agreed on a one-year deal with an obligation to buy, but Mourinho scuttled those efforts. The understanding amongst Roma's bosses was that Zaniolo could be allowed to leave, given that the club had already secured another marquee signing in Paulo Dybala.
