- Details have now emerged of how the United boss handled the situation at half time with his side two goals down
Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag shunned from tearing down into individual players at halftime after an embarrassing performance against Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday, August 7.
In Ten Hag’s first Premier League game as Red Devils boss, the Dutchman found himself having to try to find a way to get his side to overturn a deficit at halftime after going 2-0 down in the first half.
Despite what was a disorganized display from his side, Ten Hag reportedly avoided the temptation of calling out individual players for mistakes.
Sunsport reports that Ten Hag instead opted to urge the players to trust their teammates a bit more, as he also called on more pressing in the second half.

Diogo Dalot, who was part of the matchday squad on Sunday, also shed more light on what his side was told by the gaffer at halftime.
"Be a little bit more organised, especially off the ball, press a little bit more, get the ball back faster. Dalot said.
"Then we have it, have more time on it, calmer, clean head so we can think about what plays we should do. That's what we tried, I think it was visible we got better, but it was not enough for the comeback."
United would go on to get a goal in the second half in scrappy fashion through Dalot, but it was not enough to mount a comeback.
