Timo Werner is one step away from finalising his return to RB Leipzig.

The German side and English giants Chelsea have already agreed on a deal for the player’s services, with Werner just needing to pass a medical before the move is finalised.

The medical has been scheduled for today, and Werner has already arrived in Germany ahead of the final step. Sky Sports shared a video on social media of the German international arriving in the country ahead of his proposed medical.

Werner left Leipzig for Chelsea in 2020 in a deal believed to be around € 56,22. He will now be moving back to Germany in a deal worth €20m.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano took to Twitter to confirm that the two sides signed the contracts, and all that was left was Werner passing his medical.

The player only made 89 appearances for the Blues, scoring 23 goals in the process, and appears to have had a falling out with coach Thomas Tuchel.

He will be eager to return to Leipzig, where he enjoyed so much success and help Die Roten Bulle compete for silverware.
