Timo Werner could return to his former club, RB Leipzig this summer and the Bundesliga club are highly optimistic about sealing a deal for the 25-year-old forward.

Werner has struggled to make any meaningful impact since joining the Blues in a £45m deal two years ago and is now itching for a move away from Stamford Bridge.

According to Sky Sports, The Bundesliga team is considering all options, including a loan or long-term agreement, as talks between the two clubs are moving at full speed.

Italian heavyweights, Juventus are also monitoring Timo Werner’s current situation and could make a move for the 25-year-old forward if they fail to seal a deal for Alvaro Morata this summer.

Werner is thought to be eager to make the move as he wants to play regularly In order to guarantee himself a starting berth in Hansi Flick's Germany squad for the World Cup in November.

Timo Werner willing to take 50 percent pay cut to join RB Leipzig

Meanwhile, RB Leipzig’s push to sign Timo Werner from Chelsea this summer has been made easier by the Germany forward who is eager to leave Stamford Bridge.

According to the Daily Mail, RB Leipzig are trying to bring the Germany international back to the club and he is willing to take a 50 percent pay cut to make the reunion happen.

Werner played just 15 Premier League games for Chelsea the previous season, and Raheem Sterling's arrival may further limit his possibilities.

Timo Werner wants return to RB Leipzig in Germany

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Timo Werner is eyeing a return back to Germany.

The centre-forward, who plays for Chelsea in the English Premier League, signed for The Blues in 2020 from Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.

Reports are doing the rounds that Werner wants to leave the English side and return home, with the hope of re-joining RB Leipzig.
