Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is set to become AS Roma's latest signing in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Georginio will be in Rome on Thursday with his mandatory medical test slated for Friday morning before his official unveiling to the supporters, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The former Liverpool star joins the Giallorossi on a season-long loan with an option to buy for €8 million. Roma will pay €5 million, around 50 per cent of his salary.
Wijnaldum, who is deemed as surplus to requirement at PSG joined the French champions last summer on a free transfer but has since struggled to find his feet at the Parc des Princes.

But it appears the Dutch midfielder has been presented with a new lease of life as Roma has reached an agreement with PSG for the services of the 31-year-old.
The deal becomes an obligation if AS Roma qualifies for the UEFA Champions League by the end of this season and Wijnaldum has played 50 per cent or more of the matches over the course of the campaign in all competitions.
Gini will become Roma's fifth acquisition as Jose Mourinho looks to build on his UEFA Europa Conference League title with his new-look title-contending team.
