Mubarak Wakaso travelled to Qatar to show Black Stars captain and close pal Andre Ayew support during the Stars League opener.

The 31-year-old was in the stands at the Khalifa International stadium as Al Sadd suffered defeat to Markhiya.

In a photos posted on social media, Wakaso, in the company of a beautiful female friend looked excited as they backed Ayew in his first game of the season.

Andre Ayew provided an assist as the Wolves suffered their first league defeat in two years, following a 4-3 loss.

The Black Stars skipper and his teammate are preparing for their second game against Umm Salal on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Mubarak Wakaso plays for Chinese Super League outfit Shenzen FC.

He has been linked with a return to Spain.

Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has backed his son to follow his dreams of becoming a footballer after he made an appearance for his club in Spain.

Wakaso Junior plays for juvenile side Club Costa City in Elche, Spain and featured for them when they played Atletico Madrid.

In a message posted on social media, Wakaso sent encouraging words to his son and believes the boys will reach his goals.
