Bayern Munich fans are overjoyed with the signings of Sadio Mané and Matthijs de Ligt, but one former player isn’t.
Michael Rummenigge, the brother of former Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, isn’t that impressed with the signings.
Rummenigge, who played as a forward for Munich, Borussia Dortmund and the German national team, believes that neither player are world-class signings, Goal reported.
Speaking about de Ligt, he said that the defender failed to develop further during his three years at Juventus and called it “lost time” in his career.

When discussing Mané, Rummenigge said that the former Liverpool man will be good for the Bundesliga, but he wasn’t at the absolute top level. Rummenigge added Jurgen Klopp would have fought harder to keep him at Anfield if he was at the top of his game.
Rummenigge did have praise for Noussair Mazraoui, though. The Moroccan international defender joined Bayern from Ajax on a free transfer, TransferMarkt reported.
"He reminds me a little of the former Dortmund Achraf Hakimi, who now plays for Paris Saint-Germain. Mazraoui will help Bayern a lot on the defensive right flank."
He added that Mazraoui could develop into a real big transfer for Munich. Mazraoui He made 137 appearances for Ajax and scored 10 goals for the club during that time. He won three Eredivisie titles and two Dutch Cups with the side.
