The 27-year-old English international and his Chelsea teammates have returned to England on the back of an underwhelming pre-season preparation which saw the Blues record three wins and two losses.
Sterling broke his goalscoring jinx in Chelsea's final pre-season game against Udinese Calcio with his attempt fortuitously nestling at the back of the net after his initial effort was repelled by the goalkeeper.
Having chalked double figures in the last three seasons, Sterling is expected to bolster the attack of Chelsea as Thomas Tuchel's charges aim to compete on all fronts this season.

Sterling opens up on his great working relationship with Callum Hudson-Odoi
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that New Chelsea player Raheem Sterling has revealed that he shares a great understanding with Callum Hudson-Odoi. Sterling was bought from Manchester City and is expected to be a key player for Thomas Tuchel.
