Chelsea target Wesley Fofana as Kounde alternative

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are considering testing Leicester’s resolve with a bid for Fofana.

The publication claims that the talented young centre back has emerged as one of the latest names Chelsea have set their sights to help in bolstering their defence.

Fofana joined the Foxes back in 2020 in a deal worth £36.5m in 2020.

While he enjoyed a brilliant debut season, his development at the King Power Stadium was hampered after he suffered a broken leg in a pre-season friendly a year ago.

His deal with Leicester is set to expire in 2027 after he signed a new five-year contract with the club in March 2022.
