Newcastle United are interested in Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana and could sign the talented forward in the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old has emerged as an alternative for Leeds United's Jack Harrison after the Toons were put off by the club's asking price of £35million.

According to the Daily Mail, the English Premier League outfit have made enquiries over the availability of the £30million rated Ghana international.

Kamaldeen Sulemana has attracted interest from several clubs following a good first season in France, where he scored four goals and provided two assists in 20 games.

Newcastle United are preparing to send a bid for the attacker as they bolster their offense ahead of the start of the new season.

Kamaldeen Sulemana moved to Stade Rennais last summer for a fee around £17million. He was rated the best dribbler in League 1 during last season.

Kamaldeen Sulemana rated best U21 dribbler across Europe

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana and Stade Rennes winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has emerged as the U21 player with the most successful dribbles in Europe’s top five leagues.

Sulemana, whose blistering start to his debut campaign at Rennes was curtailed by nagging injuries, was rated as the best dribbler in Europe.

The Black Stars winger was rated ahead of Real Madrid wideman Vinicius Junior and Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies in a list of budding talents under the age of 21, according to Football Talent Scout.

Ghana's Kamaldeen Sulemana makes five-man shortlist for CAF Young Player of the Year

Ghana and Stade Rennain winger, Kamaldeen Sulemana, has been shortlisted for CAF's Young Player of the Year award.

The 20-year-old will battle Pape Matar Sarr (Senegal and Metz), Hannibal Mejdri (Tunisia and Manchester United), Karim Konate (Cote d’Ivoire and ASEC/RB Salzburg) and (Dango Ouattara (Burkina Faso and Lorient) for the top award.

The Confederation of African Football confirmed the final shortlist on their official website on Monday, July 11, 2022.
