Not only did he score his first goal for Manchester City over the weekend, but he also secured his first victory against the German giants, Bayern Munich, in his eighth attempt.

Haaland had previously played against the Bundesliga champions when he was still with Borussia Dortmund.

In seven attempts against the champions, he managed to score five goals and create one assist, but Dortmund lost every single game.

The biggest defeat came in the 2020/21 season when Munich won 4-2 at the Allianz Arena. Haaland scored both of Dortmund’s goals in that game, TransferMarkt confirmed.

Haaland scored the only goal in the pre-season game between Munich and City, netting in the 12th minute of the encounter in the United States of America. Following the victory, Haaland quipped that it ‘feels good to finally win against Bayern.
