The recipients of the 2022 CAF Awards were announced on Thursday, July 21, as Sadio Mane scooped the coveted men's African Player of the Year award at the ceremony hosted in Rabat, Morocco.

Senegal star Mane picked up the prestigious prize, beating his former teammate at Liverpool, Mohamed Salah, and Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy.

Super Falcons of Nigeria striker Asisat Oshoala bagged the Africa Women’s Player of the Year Award to win it for a record fifth time, beIN Sports reports.

Nigerian music star Davido spotted at CAF Awards

Meanwhile, Nigerian music sensation Davido was on duty during the 2022 CAF awards in Morocco as the continental body honours the best players for last season.

This is coming days after the music star was involved in political activities helping his uncle Ademola Adeleke to defeat the incumbent governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola.

On the award night in Morocco, the ‘Jowo’ crooner stepped on stage alongside Togolese legend Emmanuel Adebayor to present the CAF Men’s Young Player of the Year Award.

Okocha captured dancing during CAF Awards

Meanwhile, Sports Brief earlier reported that Super Eagles legend Jay-Jay Okocha was been spotted showing brilliant dancing skills during the 2022 CAF awards in Morocco.

Despite that he never the CAF award during his active playing days, the former midfield maestro was seen in a joyous mood.

In the clip posted by CAF on Twitter, Okocha was seen wearing a black suit and in good mood while dancing.
