Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia have reportedly sought striker Dennis Oliech to offer technical services to the side ahead of head coach Hassan Oktay's imminent departure.

Oktay's future at the club has been thrown into uncertainty, with tactician understood to be heading back home to Turkey to sort out some ‘personal issues.’

It however remains unclear whether he will be able to resume to continue with his work, a situation that has left the club in disarray as they prepare for the new season.

Gor are now said to have reached out to Oliech to report to work and help assistant coach Peter Odhiambo in preparation for the upcoming campaign.

“I received a phone call from the team manager [Abondo] and I will honour the call,” Oliech was quoted saying by Goal.
“I will help Peter Odhiambo to train the team for the new season and will report to work tomorrow (Tuesday, July 30)," the veteran striker divulged.

Oktay joined Gor Mahia in December 2018, replacing Dylan Kerr who moved to South Africa outfit, Black Leopards.

Oktay went on to claim Gor's record 18th Kenyan Premier League (KPL) title, and also guided the club to quarter-finals of the Caf Confederation Cup.
