Atletico Madrid fans are in a jubilant mood after reports suggest Slovenian goalkeeper, Jan Oblak has extended his contract with the Rojiblancos.
The 29-year-old who is regarded as one of the world’s best goalkeepers faced heavy criticisms last season following a deep in form that saw him concede 43 goals in La Liga.
Oblak also kept just 12 clean sheets in 2021-22 which were his lowest total since joining the club but Atletico Madrid has decided to restore their faith in him by extending his deal until 2028 SB Nation reports.

The former Benfica goalkeeper’s previous contract was supposed to run out in 2025 but a contract extension means Oblak will most likely spend a decade with the La Liga side.
