Sébastien Haller isn’t letting his recent diagnosis get him down.
The Borussia Dortmund striker pulled out of pre-season training after complaining that he was feeling unwell. After undergoing further tests, he was diagnosed with a testicular tumour.
The Ivory Coast international has now opened up about the news and promised to come back stronger, The Mirror reported.
"Thank you all for your many messages of support and affection since yesterday's announcement. My family and I thank you. I will now focus on my recovery to come back stronger," he said.

Messages of support have been pouring in for the striker since his diagnosis was made public.
Haller’s former West Ham United teammate, Declan Rice was one of the players to send well wishes to him, as did former Ajax Amsterdam coach, Erik ten Hag.
The current Manchester United coach, who is currently in Melbourne for the team’s pre-season tour, described the news as horrible, the club’s website reported.
“To hear such news is devastating. My thoughts are with him and with his family and I hope he will recover quickly,” ten Hag said.
