There’s no letting up when it comes to Barcelona bringing in new talent.

The Catalan giants have already made a number of big signings in the transfer window and appear to be closing in on another.

The Blaugrana have reportedly agreed on a four-year deal with Sevilla defender, Jules Koundé.

The Spanish side were chasing the player but faced stiff competition from Chelsea for the player’s signature.

Renowned journalist Gerrard Romero provided a fresh update on the matter in which he stated that the French international had agreed on a four-year deal with the Blaugrana, BarcaUniversal reported.

The publication added that Koundé was very interested in joining Barcelona and would arrive in Seville to try and speed up the process.

As reported by Goal, Chelsea submitted a €55 million bid for the player’s services, but this was rejected by Sevilla. It's understood that the Spanish club are holding out for at least €65 million.

Barcelona have been hailed for their business-like attitude in the summer transfer window after sealing the transfer of top football stars including Robert Lewandowski.

The Catalan giants have also completed the signing of Frank Kessie and Andreas Christensen on free transfers while Raphinha joined the La Liga side after Barcelona paid $58 million for the Brazilian winger.

Questions have been asked about how Barcelona has been able to afford to make top signings this summer transfer window despite the club having a $1.3 billion debt.
