Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has built a reputation as one of the most humble footballers in the world.

And this came to the fore back in September 2019 after he surprised a Chelsea fan by turning up at his daughter's wedding.

According to The Evening Standard, the French World Cup-winning star had initially declined the fan's invite to grace the occasion.

It is understood that Frank Khalid, an ardent Blues supporter, had requested Kante to attend the wedding of Henna Khalid and Raheel Malik.

However, the former Leicester City star turned down the invitation due to commitments with Chelsea and the French national team.

But as fate would have it, Kante eventually made time for the wedding after he pulled out of the France national team squad.

According to the Daily Mail, the midfielder had picked an injury against Sheffield United days earlier, leaving him with no choice but to forgo the French duty.

Khalid later took to social media to express his delight at seeing Kante show up at his daughter's wedding.

"Was really great to see @nglkante mingling with my guests at my daughter's wedding. He must have been asked for a million selfies, and he happily obliged every person that was at the wedding," he posted.
