Ajax Amsterdam have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Nigerian international Calvin Bassey in a deal worth €27million according to reports.
It was gathered that the Eredivisie giants have agreed with Glasgow Rangers to pay €27million as transfer fees for the services of the Nigerian defender.
Football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claimed the 22-year-old is scheduled to undergo medical ahead of his switch to the Dutch club, Sky Sports reports.
It was further gathered that the contract entails a €22million flat fee with €5m add-ons and a 10% sell-on clause of any future sale which is big money for a £230,000 outlay in 2020.

Romano tweeted:
“Calvin Bassey deal details: €22m fee guaranteed, €5m add-ons and sell on clause around 10% of future sale. Long term contract for Bassey, top signing confirmed.”
If such a deal pulls through, Complete Sports reports that the Nigerian star will become the most expensive defensive signing in the entire history of Ajax as Champions League football is also guaranteed.
Bassey is seen by Ajax to replace Lisandro Martinez who is joining Manchester united for £46m.
