Former club of Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa relegated to Lower League after 21 years

Former Nigerian champions Kano Pillars have been relegated into the Lower League of the Nigerian football after the NFF Appeal Committee dismissed their claims.

On June 23, Kano Pillars hosted Dakkada in Nigerian Professional Football League game which did not end well and the referee and officials were attacked by the home fans.

Kano Pillars chairman Surajo also slapped the assistant referee and he was expelled from the League in which Dakkada then tendered evidences.

The LMC disciplinary committee then decided that Kano Pillars should lose three points in which the Sai Masugida then appealed.

According to the confirmation by the NFF, Kano Pillars' Appeal has been dismissed.

What next for Kano Pillars?

This means that Kano Pillars' 21-year stint in the Nigerian League will be coming to an end and their former player Ahmed Musa will not be happy.

Ahmed Musa made his name in 2009/10 season at Kano Pillars where he scored 18 goals in 25 games before he moved to Europe.

NFF Appeal Committee verdict

''On the issue of the destroyed camera, the Committee agrees that the memory card was removed and the pouch of the microphone was destroyed, as such, this constitute damage to property, therefore, the appeal fails.
''The decision of the Disciplinary Committee is hereby upheld. Consequently, the appeal is hereby dismissed.''
