The head coach of Italian side Napoli Luciano Spalletti has disclosed that efforts would be made for Victor Osimhen to score more goals next season.
The manager believes the Nigerian international will not leave during the current transfer window despite interest from a number of clubs.
Osimhen scored a total of 18 goals in all competitions during the last campaign and Spalletti has hinted at building his squad around the striker.
Some of his goals came via his head and the manager understands what it means to have a forward who is good with his head.

Spalletti said via Soccernet:
“We will tell him, we will try to make him increase the number of goals.
“He is strong with his head; we will provide him with all the plays that will help him.
" It is the times that count in football; he just has to rest assured because he has enormous potential and to have trust in teammates.”
So far this current transfer window, Napoli have secured the services of Georgian playmaker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and are being linked with free agent Argentine wizard Paulo Dybala.
Osimhen returns to Naples for preseason
Meanwhile, Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has been spotted at the Dimaro Folgarida camp as Italian side Napoli prepare for their preseason activities.
The Nigerian international has been off duty for a month, but he has returned to his base despite being linked with a number of top clubs in Europe.

Oliseh says Osimhen can be better than Eto’o
Sports Brief earlier reported that former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh has lauded Victor Osimhen’s efforts in front of goal, saying the striker could be better than Cameroon legend Samuel Eto’o.
Osimhen has been impressive in front of goal since joining Italian giants Napoli in the summer of 2020 and many have tipped him to become great.
He has also been in sensational scoring form for the Super Eagles and Oliseh has now stated that the former Lille of France star could be better than former Barcelona man Samuel Eto’o.
