Rising star Nico Williams has revealed his utmost admiration for former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan.
The Spanish born-Ghanaian spent the summer holidays in the country as he reconnects with his African roots.
In an interview with Tv3, the highly-rated winger disclosed that he picks inspiration from the Ghanaian legend and wants to be prolific as Asamoah Gyan.
“When I was six years old, I loved Asamoah Gyan. He is the best striker [I have seen]. He scored a lot of goals,” said the lanky forward.

“I watched a lot of his matches and try to transmit his style to my football. I practiced to be like him and try to score goals like him,” he added.
Nico Williams is younger brother on new Ghana recruit Inaki Williams, and has been in talks with the Football Association over a possible nationality switch.
The winger, who turned 20 on Tuesday, had a breakthrough campaign in La Liga last season and is already attracting interest from English giants Manchester United and Liverpool.
