Inaki and Nico Williams arrive in Ghana for holidays

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Iñaki Williams and his younger brother, Nico Williams, have arrived in Ghana ahead of their imminent nationality switch.

The Spain-born duo arrived on Monday to begin the process of changing their nationality ahead of the World Cup later this year.

According to top Ghanaian Sports Journalist Michael Oti Adjei, the pair will have a meeting with the Ghana Football Association before finalizing their switch.

Inaki Williams completes nationality switch

Spanish-born forward of Ghanaian parentage Iñaki Williams has confirmed his switch of allegiance, declaring his readiness to represent the West African nation at the international level.

The 27-year-old forward paid a visit to Ghana during the post-season holidays last month and took the opportunity to hold talks with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) about a possible switch of nationality.

Initial reports suggested that Williams, who visited Ghana with his younger sibling Nico Williams, had turned down the opportunity to represent the four-time African champions.
