Zothwane made five appearances for Bafana Bafana during his playing career, as per Transfermarkt. He rose to prominence for his contributions to Lamontville Golden Arrows, where he helped entrenched them as arguably the strongest KZN-based team in the league between 2003 and 2009.

This saw Mamelodi Sundowns snap him up in 2009, where he only went onto make 29 appearance over three seasons ending in 2012, scoring eight goals.

He was loaned out to Bloemfontein Celtic for the 2012/13 season, making just six appearance, before deciding to retire because of persistent injury issues.

Swallows FC sign Keegan Allan from University of Pretoria despite the defender attracting Serie A interest

Keegan Allan has flown the nest at the University of Pretoria and found a new home in Soweto.

As reported by Sports Brief, the highly-rated defender caught the eye of many sides with his performances for AmaTuks as the side finished second in the GladAfrica Championship and narrowly missed out on promotion to the DStv Premiership. Allan attracted interest from the Serie A in Italy and was also on the wishlist of Orlando Pirates.

The Soweto giants were keen to add the former Mamelodi Sundowns product to their ranks.
