Keegan Allan has flown the nest at the University of Pretoria and found a new home in Soweto.

The highly-rated defender caught the eye of many sides with his performances for AmaTuks as the side finished second in the GladAfrica Championship and narrowly missed out on promotion to the DStv Premiership.

As reported by The South African, Allan attracted interest from the Serie A in Italy and was also on the wishlist of Orlando Pirates. The Soweto giants were keen to add the former Mamelodi Sundowns product to their ranks.

Allan has now officially signed for a Soweto club, but it isn’t the Buccaneers.

Swallows FC have snapped up the youngster on a two-year deal with the option to extend it by a further year.

Swallows got to see the player’s potential up close and personal, as they faced AmaTuks twice in the promotion/relegation playoff.

The club took to social media to make the announcement and welcome Allan to their nest.

The University of Pretoria's highly-rated defender Keegan Allan's star appears to be rising at home and abroad.

Rumours have emerged that he could be headed to Italy's Serie A if all goes according to plan.

Kick Off reported that Spezia Calcio and Hellas Verona were eyeing out the 21-year-old former Mamelodi Sundowns reserve team player.

Orlando Pirates' next target has been reportedly been revealed with the season coming to a close.

As reported by Sports Brief, it was revealed in the media that the University of Pretoria defender Keegan Allan could be on his way to join the Buccaneers ahead of next season.

The 21-year-old was impressive in helping AmaTuks finish as runners-up in last season's GladAfrica Championship, ultimately failing to reach the DStv Premiership.

The side finished behind Swallows FC in the promotion/relegation play-off.
