Mbappe recently signed a whooping contract at PSG that is believed to have given him the rights to have say in the club's major decisions. Messi, still remains an important figure given the mammoth success he has achieved over time.

Neymar was signed to lead PSG to Champions League victory

The report states that Mbappe feels Neymar should be left out due to indiscipline. The now 30-year-old star was signed in 2017 with the sole purpose of leading the club to the UEFA Champions League.

He has however failed repeatedly to inspire the French giants to the title and his influence has waned in the past two years.

Messi still believes in Neymar's potential, having played alongside him at Barcelona, where they were a part of the devastating MSN attacking trident.

It remains to be seen if Neymar will actually leave the club with his high wages, a huge stumbling block to interested parties.

New PSG coach intends to keep Neymar at the club

Sports Brief had earlier reported that newly-unveiled Paris Saint-Germain head coach Christophe Galtier has sent out the strongest indication yet that he intends to keep Neymar at the club.

In recent weeks, the Brazilian has been subject to intense rumours linking him with a move away from the club.

PSG are said to have put Neymar up for sale as they look to revamp their squad ahead of next season. The club is looking to lay the framework to launch another attempt to win their first-ever Champions League title.
