Former Ghana U20 goalkeeper, Eric Ofori Antwi, has disclosed his readiness to play anywhere in the world, even if it is Iraq or Pakistan.

The ex-Asante Kotoko goalkeeper revealed how failing to meet his mother's financial demand forced his intentions to leave the Ghana Premier League.

Ofori Antwi ended his stay with Legon Cities and in an interview with Onua FM, the shot-stopper revealed he is leaving the club based on his mother's advice.

“My mother called me for money at some point during the season, but I was unable to provide it due to unpaid salaries. Mum then advised me to leave Legon Cities," he said as quoted by 3 Sports.

“If I get a better offer in Iraq or Pakistan, I’ll go there. Football is a business.”
“I propose that the minimum salary for players in Division Two be GHC1,500, GHC3,000 for Division One, and GHC5,000 in the Ghana Premier League."

Eric Ofori Antwi was tipped for greatness following his outstanding displays at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup, where Ghana finished third.

He has since played for several Ghana Premier League clubs, including giants Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC. His last club was Legon Cities.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Legon Cities striker Hans Kwofie has disclosed a heartbreaking story of how he has been kicked out of his own house by his spouse.

The experienced forward finished as the top scorer for the Royals, scoring seven goals and contributing four assists in 23 games in the just-ended 2021-22 Ghanaian top-flight.

Despite performing his part of the bargain, Kwofie revealed he has not received his salary for the past seven months.
