Impressive African Goalkeeper Completes Move to Top Italian Club on Free Transfer

Italian giants Inter Milan have completed the signing of Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana whose contract recently expired at Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam.

The Serie A outfit released a statement on the club’s website that the 26-year-old has officially joined the club, but there were no details of the duration of the contract.

Sempteinter reports that many believe it is a five-year deal which will see the goalkeeper earn around €3 million net/year until the end of June 2026.

Onana is now the first-ever Cameroonian to join the Nerazzurri since Samuel Eto’o who moved to the club from Spanish club Barcelona in the summer of 2009.

That deal saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic go the opposite way and also the goalie is now the country's fifth star to join the San Siro kings after Daniel Maa Boumsong, Samuel Ipoua, Pierre Womé and the aforementioned Samuel Etoó.

The former Barcelona youth goalkeeper joined Ajax’s youth team set up in January 2015 and made his full first-team debut during the 2016/2017 season.

Onana has since featured 214 times across all competitions, winning three Dutch league titles, two Dutch Cups and one Dutch Supercup.

Eto’o scores in a star-studded charity game

Meanwhile, Samuel Eto'o put the icing on the cake in an eventful star-studded charity game held at the San Siro on Monday night.

The Integration Heroes charity match organised by Samuel Eto'o saw several legendary footballers make a return to the pitch.

In a video posted on social media, spotted by Sports Brief, Eto'o netted a stunning goal to beat Cameroon's national team goalkeeper Andre Onana, who took part in the game.

Mo Salah signs contract extension with Liverpool

Sports Brief earlier reported that Mohamed Salah has finally extended his stay with Liverpool, signing a three-year contract after several months of negotiations with the club.

The Egyptian, who joined Liverpool from AS Roma in June 2017, signed a new long-term deal with the Reds which will see him stay at the club until June 2025.

Mo Salah's new deal makes him the highest-paid player in the club's history with wages in excess of £350,000 per week.
