Former Ivory Coast captain Didier Drogba has stated that Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen can become a great player in the nearest future following the quality he possesses.
Osimhen has been lethal in front of goal for the Super Eagles and his club Napoli, with Drogba acknowledging the talents of the 23-year-old.
The Nigerian international had always stated that the former Chelsea striker was his childhood idol following his heroics that saw him score 164 goals for the Stamford Bridge outfit, GOAL reports.

FootballDrogba also won four titles with the London club including a historic Champions League title in 2012.

And in a recent interview, the two-time Africa Player of the Year award recipient said he likes Osimhen and that the Napoli striker has all it takes to become great.
Drogba told Marco Godiamo in a clip sighted on Instagram :
“I like him a lot, great striker."
Asked if the Nigerian can become a great striker in future, Drogba added:
"He can; everything is possible in football and when you have a talent like he's got, I think it’s just a question of momentum.”
Meanwhile, in a bid to bolster their squad ahead of next season, English Premier League club Arsenal are intensifying their chase for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
