  • Man United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with a sensational summer move to Stamford Bridge
  • New Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly, is said to have met Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, in Portugal to discuss a possible summer deal
  • Incidentally, Thomas Tuchel has previously suggested he would happily have the five-time Ballon d'Or winner within his ranks

An interview of Thomas Tuchel speaking about his desire to have Cristiano Ronaldo in his team has emerged.

The interview surfaced just days after it was reported that Chelsea are considering a sensational summer move for the Man United striker.

According to Mirror UK, Chelsea have sparked outrage from United after reports regarding a potential summer deal for Ronaldo.

The Red Devils re-signed the 37-year-old signed on a two-year contract last summer with the option to extend that for a further 12 months.

While the five-time Ballon d'Or enjoyed a spectacular campaign, the same cannot be said about United who were underwhelming across competitions.

The Athletic now reports that Chelsea are keen to bring Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge, with the club's new owner, Todd Boehly, reportedly meeting the striker's agent over a possible transfer deal.

What Thomas Tuchel thinks about Cristiano Ronaldo

An interview of Tuchel suggesting he would love to have Ronaldo within his ranks has now surfaced amid reports the Blues are working on a deal for the Portugal international.

Speaking shortly before his Premier League return last August, Tuchel joked:

"I don’t think it’s good if he plays for any of our rivals! If he ends up in the Premier League, it’s good for the Premier League and shows how competitive and how difficult this league is."
"I think it is not a secret that any team in the world without Cristiano [Ronaldo] is in some parts of the game a weaker team," he added.

Chelsea defender departs Stamford Bridge

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Andreas Christensen has finally opened up about his imminent Chelsea exit after 10 years at the club.

The Denmark international is due to leave Stamford Bridge this week ahead of a move to Barcelona.

The defender has now taken to social media to pay tribute to Chelsea and the club's fans as he prepares to end his career with the London club.
