Eight people are now expected to land in court over the death of football legend Diego Maradona and they could be sent to 25 years in jail each of found guilty of being involved.

The super footballer who won the World Cup with Argentina in 1986 died of heart failure in November 2020 and his death came as shocking news for all football lovers.

During his active playing days, Diego Maradona was one of the players who made football loved by millions of people around the world just because of his styles of play.

According to the reports in the Sun and BBC, a judge has ordered for a trial to be made after finding out that Diego Maradona's treatment before his death was handled nonchalantly.

Who are those facing trial for Diego Maradona's death?

Among those facing charges are Maradona's neurosurgeon and personal doctor, Leopoldo Luque, a psychiatrist and psychologist, two doctors, two nurses and their boss.

The reports also added that these people have all denied responsibility for Diego Maradona's death.

Before his death, Diego Maradona was working as a professional coach and last steered Gimnasia de La Plata.
