Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has broken his silence after the departure of Sadio Mane.

The Senegalese winger was officially unveiled at Bayern Munich on Wednesday, June 22, in a transfer which brought his six-year spell with Liverpool to an end.

According to Sky Sports, Mane penned a three-year deal with the German champions until 2025.

The publication adds that Bayern will pay Liverpool an initial £27.5m for the winger, with a further £5m based on appearances, and £2.5m based on individual and team achievements.

Jurgen Klopp speaks on Sadio Mane's departure

Speaking on the transfer, Klopp insisted that Mane left Anfield with no hard feelings.

However, the Reds boss was quick to admit that Mane's departure is a blow to the club as he is one of the best footballers in the world.

"One of Liverpool’s greatest ever players is leaving and we must acknowledge how significant this is. He leaves with our gratitude and our love," Metro UK quoted Klopp saying.
"And, yes, he leaves in a moment where he is one of the best players in world football. I respect completely his decision and I’m sure our supporters do also. If you love LFC, you have to love Sadio – non-negotiable," the German tactician added.

Sadio Mane's career at Liverpool

Mane enjoyed a successful spell with the Merseysiders spanning six, with the Senegal international playing a central role in the club's revival under Klopp.

The 30-year-old went on to make 269 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 120 goals in all competitions.

In his six years at Anfield, he won the Premier League, the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

Sadio Mane reveals when he dumped Liverpool

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Sadio Mane has described his move to Bayern Munich as the right decision after joining the Bundesliga champions from Liverpool.

The Senegalese forward revealed he was immediately hooked immediately his agent told him Bayern Munich were interested in signing him.

Mane ended his six-year spell with Liverpool after a successful career with the Merseyside club winning major trophies.
