Paul Pogba was treated to a heroes welcome in Guinea following his return to Guinea.

The France midfielder, who has a strong heritage in the African nation, was met by huge crowds with thousands of Guineans parading the streets to welcome the World Cup winner.

In a video posted on social media, the former Manchester United player is seen in an open-top car as he waved his fans and the people who chanted and sang his name.

Pogba was born to Guinean parents in France but always finds time to visit the country of his parents.

The 30-year-old ended his stay with Manchester United after six years in his second spell with the Red Devils.

The midfielder returned to Juventus after ending his six-year stay in England with the Red Devils, as reported by CNN.

Paul Pogba handed four-year ban

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that France star Paul Pogba has been given a four-year ban from football by Italy's anti-doping tribunal after testing positive for testosterone last August, his club Juventus said on Thursday.

A spokesman for the club told AFP it had been notified of the decision against the 30-year-old World Cup winner, who had been provisionally suspended in September.

"We received notification from the tribunal this morning," the spokesman said. Italy's anti-doping body did not immediately respond when contacted by AFP.

Paul Pogba finally leaves Manchester United

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Paul Pogba has left Manchester United following the end of his contract with the English giants.

The France international leaves the English giants after six years in his second stint as a player of the Red Devils.

Manchester United confirmed the departure of the midfielder on their official website, thanking him for his services.
