Orlando Pirates has signalled its intent on challenging for trophies on all fronts in the 2022/23 DStv Premiership.
Four players were confirmed to have arrived at the club, with six others' time at the club coming to an official end.
According to iDiski Times, Evidence Makopa (Baroka FC), Bienvenu Eva Nga and Azola Matrose (both Chippa United) and Miguel Timm (Marumo Gallants). Amazulu defender Tapelo Xoki is on also on the way, with the deal being finalised before it is confirmed.
The club, on its website, stated that six players will not be part of the squad next season, namely Kwanda Mngonyama, Abel Mabaso, Justice Chabalala, Elson Sithole, Wayne Sandilands and Thabang Monare. Defender Thulani Hlatshwayo and striker Gabadinho Mhango had already been released at their own request after uninspired seasons a couple of weeks ago.
Pirates finished a disappointing sixth in the DStv Premiership last season, missing out on any continental football. They were knocked out in the quarterfinal of the MTN 8 by Moroka Swallows in a 2-1 loss.
It got worse in the Nedbank Cup, where Marumo Gallants edged past them on penalties in the Round of 16 after a 1-1 draw. Any opportunity for continental glory disappeared when Pirates again lost on penalties in the CAF Confederations Cup final to Moroccan side RS Berkane.

As reported by Sports Brief, this is despite rumours swirling of an array of possible candidates being looked at to replace him and former co-coach Fadlu Davids.
The Buccaneers have been linked with a variety of individuals to take the head coach position ahead of next season.
