St. Pauli have been in talks with Freiburg over the last few weeks, and according to the Kicker, an agreement has now been reached between the two clubs.

The report claims that the German Bundesliga side could pay €4.5m plus add-ons to bring Kyereh to the club.

But newly-promoted Werder Bremen appear to have dropped out of the race.

"We had good talks and a really good exchange. I don't think the decision was that easy for him [Kofi Kyereh] either. In the end, he decided to go another way, which is really a shame. But sometimes that's just the way it is in football," Werder head of first team football and scouting Clemens Fritz Fritz told reporters on Sunday, as quoted by

Kyereh played a key role as Ghana's Black Stars made a return to the FIFA World Cup after edging Nigeria in the play-offs in March.
