The worst-kept secret involving Orlando Pirates appears to have been confirmed.

The Buccaneers have reportedly acquired the services of midfielder Miguel Timm from Marumo Gallants on a free transfer. The 30-year-old will sail with the Sea Robbers for the next three seasons.

According to Kick Off, a Pirates official said:

"It's a done deal. We will make an announcement soon to confirm the new players signed and those who are leaving."

The 30-year-old defensive midfielder's initial contract with his former side was set to expire at the end of June, with the player free to sign for a club of his choice. He appeared in 35 matches for Gallants in 35 matches last season in the DStv Premiership, Nedbank Cup and CAF Confederations Cup, scoring one goal.

Goal also reported that the Buccaneers had snapped up the services of Tapelo Xoki from Amazulu and Nkosinathi Sibisi from Golden Arrows.

Gabadinho departed the club for Amazulu, while Thulani Hlatshwayo was released.

Elsewhere, SuperSport reported that Kaizer Chiefs roped in Zitha Kwinika and Ashley du Preez from Stellenbosch FC, with Mamelodi Sundowns getting Sipho Mbule from SuperSport United.

Dumsani Zuma, Lazarous Kambole, Daniel Akpeyi, Lebogang Manyama, Kearyn Baccus, Samir Nurkovic, Leonardo Castro, Daniel Cardoso, Bernard Parker were the departures from the Amakhosi. Thus far, only George Maluleka has left the Brazilians.

Dumisani Zuma and Hellings Frank “Gabadinho” Mhango are looking forward to a fresh start at AmaZulu FC.
