Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has started his pre-season training early as he seeks to have a better season at the new club. Sancho joined United from Borussia Dortmund last summer as one of the most exciting talents in football, but his first season did not go as planned.

Sancho is now currently in Los Angeles where he is balancing between his holidays and keeping in shape as footballers enjoy a much-needed vacation.

The Sun reports that The Red Devils are set to return to training on June 27th, where a host of top stars will want to catch the eye of the new boss, Erik ten Hag.

The former Ajax manager was roped in to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was sacked after a spate of poor results. Ralf Rangnick held brief for a while, but results didn't improve either during his tenure.

A lot of new arrivals are expected at the club this summer. United have already confirmed the departures of Juan Mata, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard and Edinson Cavani. Ten Hag is understood to be working on new arrivals, with Barcelona star Frenkie De Jong on top of his wishlist.

Sancho was seen running while clad in the home jersey of United for the 2021/2022 season.

The 22-year-old had an extended break after being omitted from England's UEFA Nations League squad. Sports Brief had previously reported that England national team head coach Gareth Southgate has sent out a stern warning to Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho ahead of the FIFA World Cup later this year.

Southgate has warned the Manchester United duo that they might not get selected for the Qatar event.

The players were part of the Manchester United squad that had an underwhelming season, finishing sixth on the log.
