The Ghana Football Association will be smiling to the bank after it was revealed that the country will receive $9 million for qualifying to the World Cup.
The Black Stars edged Nigeria to qualify for the global showpiece in Qatar later this year.
And according to the San Diego Tribune, Ghana and all teams that qualified for the World Cup will receive $9 million for making the group stage.
Should Ghana progress out of Group H, the country will make an additional $4 million while a quarter final place will see the West African nation make $25 million.
The winner of the World Cup will receive $42 million as prize money.
Meanwhile, an initial $2 million will be given to every country that qualified to begin preparation.
