Erling Braut Haaland has extoled Ghana coach Otto Addo for guiding him at the early stages of his career at Dortmund.

Otto Addo helped Haaland transition from Austrian football to the German Bundesliga, as he took less time to establish himself at the Signal Iduna Park.

Haaland completed his 60 million euros switch to Manchester City this week, and in a documentary for his last days at the club, the striker hailed the Black Star coach.

“That’s the biggest legend, if we talk about the biggest legends in this club, this guy, he’s the best one,” Haaland said as quoted by GHANASoccernet.com.
“He is the best. Otto,” he added.

Otto Addo is revered at Dortmund for his role in developing the talents of young players at the club.

Several youngsters including America's Giovanni Reyna and England's Jude Bellingham settled at the club quickly because of Otto Addo's leadership.

Manchester City unveil Norwegian forward Erling Haaland

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that New Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has revealed that Riyad Mahrez played a huge part in convincing him to sign for the Premier League champions. Haaland was officially unveiled as a City player on Monday.

The Pep Guardiola side beat other top European sides to sign the teenage striker by activating his release clause from Borussia Dortmund.

He joins on a five-year deal contract that will see him become one of the top earners in England.

Otto Addo replaces Rajevac as Ghana coach

Former Black Stars midfielder Otto Addo has reached an agreement with the Ghana Football Association to lead the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Addo was initially appointed as head coach of the Black Stars on an interim basis following the sack of Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac.

He was appointed as the head of a four-man technical team that comprised of Aston Villa U23 coach George Boateng, ex-Asante Kotoko coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani and Chris Hughton, formerly of Newcastle United.
