Jurgen Klopp has vowed to unlock the potential of new Liverpool signing, Darwin Nunez after the Uruguayan forward completed his move from Benfica.
The Reds splashed a massive £85m on Nunez as the striker has penned a six-year contract with Liverpool worth around £140,000 a week.
Nunez’s arrival at Anfield has been widely celebrated by Liverpool fans although Jurgen Klopp has now called for caution insisting the Uruguayan forward is still a work in progress, Daily Mail reports.
‘It’s important we all recognize we are getting a work in progress with Darwin. He recognizes that himself, for sure. I love how much focus and humility he has.
‘We have wonderful attacking options already and he becomes part of that now. So there is no pressure on him at all.’
Nunez has been offered the number 27 shirt and is widely expected to replace Sadio Mane from the Reds attack next season as the Senegalese forward pushes for a move to Bayern Munich.
