Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has been recognised for his charity works over the years as the forward bags the Humanitarian of the Year award.
The fourth edition of The Ballers Awards which was held on Sunday, 12 June in Lagos saw the Fatih Karagumruk forward bag the award in style.
Over the years, Musa has been involved in a number of charity works as he recently donated N2million to former defender Kingsley Obiekwu who raised the alarm that he was struggling.
Earlier in the year, the former CSKA Moscow attacker gifted $1500 to a mosque in Garoua, Cameroon, during the Africa Cup of Nations.

FootballIn 2021, Musa donated the sum of two million naira to the Army Day Secondary School in Kano for the construction of a mosque on the school premises.
Soccernet reports that the Super Eagles’ skipper who is currently in Morocco for the 2023 AFCON qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe took to social media to react to the award. He wrote on Facebook:
“I am honoured to be a recipient of this award. Being recognized for my charity work is one of the highest honour a person can wish for.
“I thank the entire Nigerian football stakeholders, fans and the Jury for counting me worthy of this. And special thanks to the organizers for putting the award show together. God bless.”
Meanwhile, Musa has admitted that Nigerians are still disappointed over the team’s failure to qualify for the World Cup, but assured they will bounce back to winning ways.
