On Friday, June 10th, 2022, the senior national football team of Holland celebrated the Dutch National Football Day in style as players arrived at training cladded in jerseys of their amateur teams.

From Memphis Depay to Nathan Ake, the players were spotted nicely dressed as they recount memories of their youth teams.

In photos posted on Twitter, the players commemorated the National Football Day in remembrance of where it all started.

The Dutch National Football Day is celebrated annually to recognize the achievements of the country in sports.

One of the biggest accomplishments of the Dutch national team was reaching the finals of the World Cup in 2010 in South Africa.

The Netherlands were winners of the 1988 European Championship and finished second in UEFA Nations League in 2019.

Holland manager Louis Van Gaal opens up on wanting to sign Sadio Mane for Man Utd

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that former Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has disclosed that he wanted to sign Senegal forward Sadio Mané during his time with the English giants.

However, the Senegal winger ended up joining United's fiercest rivals Liverpool, and has gone on to win several titles with the Reds.

After the World Cup draw in Doha, the Netherlands were pitted against the African champions, host Qatar and Ecuador, and reacting to his opponents he stated Senegal were the toughest and has huge admiration for their star forward Sadio Mané.
