Previous game between Hungary and Germany

The two sides drew the last time they met in Euro 2020, with both sides scoring twice. Hungary even held the lead twice but were pegged back by Die Mannschaft.

They also beat the Germans in a 2004 friendly when Lothar Matthaus managed the visitors.

Team news for Hungary and Germany

Hungary will only be without one play as Andras Schafer misses out due to suspension, SportsMole reported.

Marco Reus suffered a muscle tear and will remain out of the side while Serge Gnabry remains a doubt due to a calf injury.

What the coaches have to say

Hungary’s coach, Marco Rossi, believes that Germany are their most dangerous opponent in the group, UEFA reported.

“It'll be tough to rein them in, dictate the match and play our own game. We'll be endeavouring to do so though, and I'm confident that this will show in the result,” he said.

Hansi Flick on the other hand is focused on the World Cup at the end of the year and is using the remaining Nations League games to assess where the team is.

“It's important that those who come in also show that they can help the team. We want to make each individual a little bit better so that we can be even better in Qatar."

Possible line-up for Hungary and Germany

Hungary: Gulácsi; Lang, Orbán, Attila Szalai; Fiola, Á Nagy, Styles, Z Nagy; Sallai, Szoboszlai; Ádám Szalai

Germany: Neuer; Hofmann, Rüdiger, Schlotterbeck, Raum; Goretzka, Kimmich; Gnabry, Müller, Havertz; Werner

Italy returns to winning ways with a hard-fought 2:1 victory against Hungary in UEFA Nations League

Italy showed character to bounce back from their recent slump in form to earn a deserved win 2-1 against Hungary in their Nations League group A3 encounter.

Nicolo Barella and Lorenzo Pellegrini were the heroes for the Azurri as their first-half goals were enough to deter any late comeback from Hungary.

Italy coach, Roberto Mancini was hoping for a perfect response from his team after losing to Argentina 3-0 in the Finalissima before earning a 1-1 draw in their Nations League opener against Germany.

UEFA Nations League: Harry Kane rescues a point for England against Germany

Harry Kane cancelled out Jonas Hoffman's goal to move to within three goals of breaking Wayne Rooney's record. The England captain was on target as his side fought from a goal down to rescue a point from the Allianz Arena.

With both sides looking for their first victories in the competition, it took no time for warning shots to be sounded as the game began with some high end to end action.

Despite a few other half-chances, the game ended all square with England remaining rooted at the bottom of the log after two games.
