Legendary Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto'o expressed his dissatisfaction with the performance of the Indomitable Lions in their narrow win over minnows Burundi in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
The Cameroon football chief was left fuming after the five-time African champions laboured to a one-nil win over the Swallows of Burundi in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

The Indomitable Lions dominated a hapless Burundi side but failed to put the game to bed owing to their profligacy in front of the goal.
After the game, Eto'o stormed the dressing room of the Cameroonians to voice out his frustrations about the team's total output.
“I am not happy. I don’t care who you play against; you represent Cameroon. I am not happy at all. In my time, I missed the World Cup because I knew what problems I had. Those problems won’t repeat themselves while I’m president.” Eto'o said as quoted by Joy Sports.
"Places in this team will be earned. Nobody, I repeat, nobody has a place guaranteed in this team. You must do your job. Whoever comes here to wear this shirt must do the job, else he goes and I will be happy to have the children play.”
