The Super Eagles are desperate to put their World Cup disappointment behind them as they prepare for the start of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Nigeria is set to host Sierra Leone at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja and has been in an intense training session ahead of their opening game.
Sports Brief's photo reporter Emmanuel Osodi reports that the Super Eagles training session was supervised by the new coach, Jose Poseiro and had all top stars involved, including Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Ahmed Musa, William Troost-Ekong, Ademola Lookman, Semi Ajayi, and Cyriel Dessers were some of the Super Eagles players also involved in the intense training session.

The Super Eagles will be hoping to return to winning ways against the Leone Stars as they were held to a 4-4 draw by Sierra Leone the last time both teams met in November 2020.
Peseiro targets first win as Super Eagles coach
Meanwhile, Jose Poseiro will be desperate to earn his first win as coach of the Super Eagles when Nigeria hosts Sierra Leone in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers Complete Sports reports.
Poseiro has lost his first two matches as Nigeria coach as the Super Eagles lost both international friendly games against Mexico and Ecuador respectively.
The Super Eagles were defeated 2-1 by Mexico in Dallas, while they were also beaten 1-0 by World Cup-bound Ecuador in Poseiro’s second game in charge.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported the Super Eagles of Nigeria will file out against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone on Thursday evening, June 9, at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja as 2023 AFCON qualifiers begin.
Both nations had appeared at the 2021 edition of the competition earlier this year, and now they begin their journey to qualify for the continental showpiece, which holds in Ivory Coast next year.
Having missed out on the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Nigeria will now ensure they qualify for the Nations Cup.
