Erling Haaland stood firm to overcome a tyranny of insults from Sweden’s defender Alexander Milosevic, to score twice and help Norway beat Sweden in the UEFA Nations League.
Haaland was the star of the show as his brace powered Norway past their Scandinavian neighbours. He scored a penalty in the 20th minute before rounding off the win in the 69th minute.
But the win wasn’t without drama as it has emerged that Milosevic insulted Haaland as the game progressed.

FootballSportBible reports that the soon-to-be Manchester City striker said that Milosevic called him some unprintable words and promised to break his legs.
He said he was going to break my legs, a minute and a half later I scored.
The 21-year-old striker celebrated his second goal in the face of the AIK Fotboll centre back, who has since refuted Haaland’s claims.
I did not say that. It is quite rude to say what he says because I do not speak Norwegian and he does not speak Swedish, so I do not know how we communicated. I do not speak English on the pitch, so it is weird that he says things I have not said.
As the confusion continues to go on over who said what, Haaland seemingly had the last laugh as he bagged his 18th goal in 19 appearances for the national side.
Norway are now top of League B, Group 4 after two rounds of matches. They face Slovenia next before having a rematch against Sweden.

FootballSports Brief had earlier reported that Kevin De Bruyne has sent out a fiery warning to Manchester City’s Premier League rivals ahead of next season.
De Bruyne feels that the arrival of Erling Haaland will make City a more lethal side than it already is. Haaland is expected to slot in directly into Pep Guardiola’s team, given the magnanimous talent he possesses.
He has been a lethal goal scorer for Borussia Dortmund and RB Salzburg and was wanted by many clubs.
