AS Roma teen sensation Felix Afena-Gyan has expressed his utmost joy after notching his maiden goal for the Black Stars.

The 19-year-old broke his goal-scoring duck for the four-time African champions in Ghana's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against island country, Madagascar.

Afena-Gyan, Ghana's youngest-ever European Cup winner, tucked home from close range to double Ghana's lead in a comprehensive 3-0 win over the Barea of Madagascar.

In a post on Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, the talented forward expressed his joy of scoring his first goal while also acknowledging the role of the supporters at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Up next for Afena-Gyan and his teammates is an away fixture against the Central Africa Republic on Sunday, June 5, where he will look forward to increasing his tally for the Black Stars.

Afena-Gyan breaks goalscoring duck for Ghana

Felix Afena-Gyan has netted his first international goal for Ghana as they lead Madagascar 2-0 in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game on Wednesday.

The AS Roma forward connected to Gideon Mensah's ball to give Ghana a second goal at the Cape Coast Stadium.

It took the 19-year-old striker three games to score his debut goal for the four-time African champions.

Afena-Gyan's mum spotted cheering his son as Ghana thump Madagascar

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that the mother of 19-year-old Ghana forward, Felix Afena-Gyan, was at the Cape Coast stadium to support her son in the AFCON qualifier against Madagascar.

The AS Roma star opened his goal-scoring account for the Black Stars with a flicking strike as Ghana thumped Madagascar 3-0 in Cape Coast.

In photos posted on social media, Madam Juliet Adubea celebrated as her son scored his first international goal for the Black Stars.
