FootballBayern Munich Are Planning To Partner Robert Lewandowski With Liverpool’s Sadio Mane
- Bundesliga kings Bayern Munich are planning a serious summer haul that will see them get Sadio Mane from Liverpool and partner him with the wantaway Robert Lewandowski
- Both Sadio Mane and Lewandowski have expressed their desires to leave their clubs with only one year left on their contracts
- Bayern will tempt Liverpool with another offer for the Senegalese forward after seeing their initial offer of 25 million euros rejected
Bayern Munich have no plans whatsoever to release or sell Robert Lewandowski. Lewandowski recently went on record stating that his time in Munich was over and he intended to continue with his glorious career elsewhere.
Barcelona is understood to be the leading candidate to land the dangerous Polish striker but will have to release a few players first. Chelsea has been touted as another possible destination with Thomas Tuchel’s side struggling to convert chances.
But, Daily Mail now reports that Bayern intend to hold on to Lewandowski. The Bavarians are in fact, planning on partnering with Sadio Mane and their revered striker. Mane has similarly given a similar request to Liverpool that he wants to leave Anfield this summer.
Bayern are understood to have already offered 25 million euros for Mane, but Liverpool won’t take a figure of anything less than 45 million euros.
Lewandowski was infuriated by Bayern’s attempts to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. Haaland has since joined Manchester City, but the 33-year-old seemingly still feels some betrayal.
Should Bayern succeed in getting Sadio Mane and convince Lewandowski to stay, it will form another potent striking force in Europe. Head coach Julian Nagelsmann will have a plethora of attacking options that already has the likes of Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane.
