FootballReports Emerge That Orlando Pirates Have Moved Closer to Signing Chippa United Striker Eva Nga
- It appears that Orlando Pirates are odds on to sign Chippa United striker Eva Nga ahead of the 2022-23 season
- The Cameroonian striker had been linked with a move to either Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, particularly Kaizer Chiefs and Amazulu
- However, those moves fell through a few months ago, before Pirates appeared out of nowhere to possibly steal a march on the 29-year-old
It appears that Orlando Pirates' second transfer for next season's campaign will happen before long.
In-demand Chippa United striker Eva Nga is reported to be close to completing a move to Orlando East after impressing during his stay in Gqeberha. He had been linked with a move to either Kaizer Chiefs or Amazulu, but this fell through at the beginning of the month.
Soccer Laduma reported that the Buccaneers have offered Nga a two-year deal with the option to extend, which he is said to be happy with. His official registration with the club will be confirmed once the transfer window opens next month.
This comes days after Amazulu had revealed that misfit Pirates striker Gabadinho Mhango had joined the Durban-based team, as per iDiski Times. This intriguing deal would see defender Thapelo Xoki leave Usuthu and head the other way.
Nga finished the campaign with what turned out to be 10 crucial goals in all competitions, with the Chilli Boys having dodged relegation at the last possible moment. The future of another striker in the form of Tshegofatso Mabasa remains unclear, with Nga's arrival likely to make clear where he stands with the club
Chippa United striker Eva Nga’s move to Gauteng might still be on despite Kaizer Chiefs disappointment
What was Kaizer Chiefs' loss could be another Gauteng team's gain when it comes to Chippa United striker Bienvenu Eva Nga.
As reported by Sports Brief, having long been linked to the Amakhosi, the Cameroonian player's apparent transfer to the club was reported to have fallen through earlier this week.
He has been in good form down in Gqeberha, scoring 10 goals in 20 matches for the Chilli Boys thus far this season.
