Edouard Mendy has shared his excitement after meeting former Real Madrid and Brazil forward Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima.
The Chelsea and Senegal goalkeeper met the legendary striker in Davos at the World Economic Forum, which was making a return after a two-year hiatus.
Mendy took to social media to express gratitude to FIFA and CAF for giving him to opportunity to speak at the forum and also share the stage with the 'Fenomeno'.
"I would like to thank His Highness Tamin and the FIFA President Gianni Infantino for inviting me to the World Economic Forum in Davos. This conference was a great moment of sharing and talking about the impact of the football with Patrice Motsepe, FIFA, Ronaldo, Hassan Al Thawadi and Arsène Wenger," he wrote on Instagram.
The Senegal number one looked happy after meeting Ronaldo, as he posted a photo of him and the legend with the caption 'Fenomeno'.
Ronaldo was a menace to defenders during his playing days, scoring goals effortlessly.
However, injuries marred the career of the Brazilian as he spent more time in the treatment room than on the pitch due to the setbacks.
He ended up winning two FIFA World Cups and many other trophies. Individually, he won the FIFA best player three times.
Meanwhile, Mendy had a successful first season with Chelsea, where he won the UEFA Champions League and Club World Cup.
But this season has been challenging for the Senegalese goalkeeper as Chelsea finished third.
